Our Machinery Operator roles will see you operating our factory machinery in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner to produce high-quality products. We are looking for someone who wants to develop a career in seafood manufacturing and who has the mechanical aptitude to learn, grow and advance in our workplace. You will be a key part of a strong and supportive team, and your positive attitude, solid attendance, and excellent work ethic will be recognised and rewarded within the business.

We currently have multiple vacancies within Machinery Operation:

  • Forklift Operators (Day and Night Shifts)
  • Cook Room Operators (Day and Night Shifts)
  • Pack Room Operators ( Night Shift)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure allocated machines are running to maximum throughput
  • Operate allocated machined in accordance with STS
  • Understand operation of allocated machine, and able to assess maintenance issues with machine
  • Report all maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Keep a tidy work area
  • Train new operators in machine operations.
  • Ensure that the required licenses are maintained
  • Use chemicals safely in accordance with specifications
  • Assist with any duties in the designated area as assigned by the Supervisor
  • Safely operate equipment and follow standard operating procedures everyday
  • Participate in safety observations and monitoring
  • Carry out all work duties in accordance with safety policies and procedures

Ideally you will have:

  • For the Forklift Operator position- OSH Certificate, and F Endorsement. If experienced but unlicensed- we can help!
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment in a Production Operator role/ general machine setting would be very advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a great attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Have good mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, safety, and reliability
  • Have a flexible approach to ensure the job gets done right the first time and to ensure quality
  • Be motivated with a hunger to learn new skills, challenge yourself and progress your career
  • Have the ability to work independently, whilst working towards achieving team goals
  • Computer use (intermediate level) and basic understanding of touch screen technology
