Quality Systems Officer

To play an assist in the management, development and monitoring of Sanford’s Quality and Compliance Systems. Reporting to the Manager, Group Quality Systems, you will be working as part of a team to develop, implement and monitor our quality management systems. This is a corporate role and has a strong governance structure to the board through the Group Quality Manager.

About the role:

  • This role’s responsibility is to maintain RMP to comply with regulatory and market access requirements, manage the CAPA system and database and coordinate investigations and responses.
  • Raise EDs in a timely manner for all animal products leaving the Auckland Factory site. Co-ordinate product testing to meet customer and market access requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits RMP, QMS & EMS internal audits.
  • Quality: assist in quality management system development and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain product and customer specifications and supporting information. Manage the product hold and release system. Assist in reporting on quality KPI’s, generating KPI reports as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the Sanford continuous improvement process

 What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Quality systems development and/or maintenance experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of microbiological and chemical testing in a food processing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Competency with Excel and Word.
  • Strong reporting skills and presentation of key data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis or when required.

Preferred:

  • Seafood, FMCG or food processing industry experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in food technology or similar.
