Our Deep-Water Fleet operate out of Timaru and includes deep-sea trawlers, scampi vessels and long liners. As well as Fisheries within NZ, they also travel as far away as the Ross Sea.

With an understanding of and experience in data intensive administration and reporting, your excellent interpersonal and computer skills will support you to manage stakeholder relationships
and communications between vessel crew, observers, Governmental agencies and Sanford Limited. Being a highly motivated individual, you will have the ability to operate effectively unsupervised to
collect and present high-quality data to CCAMLR.

Required:

• An understanding of sampling methods with strong scientific numeracy and literacy
• Ability to manage significant volumes of data for collating, reviewing, and sending to third parties on a daily basis
• A science or fisheries observer background either through formal education or based on work experience is advantageous but not essential
• Experience in CCAMLR Antarctic fisheries (or similar) with a strong understanding of CCAMLR/SPRFMO Conservation and Management Measures is advantageous but not essential
